My Lord,
The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before them your letter of 30th ult enclosing a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong-Kong forwarding an Ordinance No. 6 of 1867 for better securing the health of Emigrants in Chinese "Passenger Ships" clearing from Hong-Kong.
I am to request that you signify to the Secretary of State for the Colonies My Lords concurrence in this Ordinance.
With regard to the disposal of the machinery of the "stone prong", I have requested the Crown Agent to furnish me with any suggestions which they may have to offer.
I am also sending a copy of a letter from the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to whom a copy of Dr. Graham's letter was referred.
In reply to this Letter, the following Number should be quoted: 1041, 413/68, 718 Hong Kong RECHIVAL 1868, 390.
